CollateralPosted by Tom (Liverpool, United Kingdom) on 14 March 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. In 1942 the rubble and debris from the bombing of Bootle was transported to the Sefton coast where it was used to bolster sea defences. It still remains there to this day, washed clean every day, re-shaped by the sea and slowly returning to nature.
