I'm glad to see the full view of this after enjoying the detailed views from previous posts. Now, I'm intrigued by the storefronts I see beyond the arch on the right. ;-)

@Julie McLeod: Most of these storefronts are Chinese restaurants, this is the heart of Liverpool's Chinatown. If you go back to the pictures of mid february (16th) you'll see the view looking up the street at Chinese new year. Each year every business is visited and hundreds of firecrackers set of outside each one. Liverpool has an old chinese community and strong links with cities such as Shanghai. These days cities like Vancouver and San Francisco have significantly larger communities, Liverpool's is relatively small but well embedded in the city.
