I have really enjoyed looking over your photos. I grew up just outside of Southport (little place called Tarleton), my parents still live there. I now live in the north east - your photos have brought back lots of excellent memories- thanks. You have some great shots in your PF.

@Rhys: Thanks for your comments, I'm based in formby on the other side of formby. I'll pass the complement back as you've got some great shots in your set, strong consistent theme running through as well.

Generally, very good composition in most of your photos, but in my opinion your HDR images would gain a lot if you just lowered the effect a bit. The halo effect one gets when using very high light smoothing in Photomatix can be too much I think. Don´t get me wrong, I still really like your images and please keep posting interesting images like this one. /Peter

@Peter Mannfolk: I would tend to agree with you, they are exaggerated a little because the light conditions were not that good. I've left in the halo effect on some of these pictures because I wanted them to feel a little artificial, sometimes the halo effect does add I think (see another place pictures) but I suppose its a matter of taste.
