You should seriously consider getting yourself a DSLR (it doesn't have to be an expensive one). It looks to me from your photos that you are more thanready to step it up a notch. It made a massive difference to my own photography when I switched a year ago from a Fuji F31 to a Nikon DSLR. The fuji S5Pro DSLR would be a great choice if you want to stick with Fuji.

Just a quick word on sharpening - this photo looks just a touch oversharpened if you don't mind me saying. Instead of using USM at a radius of 1.0 or less as it looks like you are doing at the moment, instead try a radius of 50 which adds contrast (a substitute to sharpness which I really like).

The other thing that's worth thinking about is applying contrast selectively to mainly foreground parts of the image. If you think about it, scenes like this often naturally lose contrast with increasing distance and using this technique of applying contrast mainly to foreground elements can help give a perception of depth to photos.
